Tomas..
The Galaxie will handle a 4 ohm load just fine. I use a Weber Z-Matcher w/mine. You can use any cab w/any head by setting the in/out ohm load.
Check out Weber's site, or maybe e-bay. Z-best + Galaxie is still my fave.

If this is the solution I will buy it for sure. Ehi, you said and at the end you won, NOW I HAVE IT!!

You could put 2 16ohm spkrs in there for an 8 ohm load. Or...you could wire your cab as is, in series for 16 ohms.
But...to get the best sound out of the Galaxie, your really should give it an 8 ohm load. That's what it is designed for.
I think the Weber unit is only $100 USD....HELLA lot cheaper than 2 speakers.

A lot of people with 16 Ohm speakers want 8 Ohm speakers, and visa versa. You could think about finding someone to trade with.

To tell the truth when I bought both R66 and Z-best 4 ohm I ignored the possibility to have it 8 ohm, If I had known I probably would have bought an 8 ohm one... Maybe this week I'll call my dealer.

My Galaxie is usually connected to a 4-ohm Z 4x10. No problems, and the Z shop has said it's OK to do with the Galaxie. May have to pick up one of those Weber impedance matchers. Thanks for suggesting that Tony.

Mosta important thing is that 4 ohm Z-best doesn't suffer with the GAL...

Mosta important thing is that 4 ohm Z-best doesn't suffer with the GAL... It won't. The technical concern is using the 8-ohm output from the amp into a lower impedance speaker. It's bad for the amp's output transformer. But Z himself has said that in the Galaxie the transformer is so robust that it will stand up fine under this impedance mismatch. I would not do this with any other amp, and I double checked that it is OK with the Galaxie. (Also, I would not run the Galaxie into a load less than 4 ohms.) (Just expanding here on what Tony already said
