Ok so the Doc makes the Z28, KT 45 & Route 66 amps, which I've read are close cousins (EF86 front end with a 2 power tube power section). This leads me to the question:
Could you drop a set of 6V6s in the 6545 and get a Z28/Remedy thing going on?
I'm guessing you might have to change out the bias resistors & such, but could you do it (assuming the appropriate component mods were performed)?
Not really wanting to mod my 6545, just wondering if it's possible as I'd love to have a Z28/psuedo-remedy combo.

I asked this same question in the "ask the expert" forum and Myles responded; "Nope. B+ is way too high. Screen voltage is way too high also. And ... the output transformer impedance is wrong for 6V6s."
