After getting it back from the shop and only finding that it was 1 of the 12AX7's that had issues from a batch of new ones that was causing the loud hum, I have hardly been able to turn this thing off! It was worth the surprisingly low $50 to have it carefully looked at, each component tested and inspected, only to find it in perfect condition. It's a 2007 model. I simply love each and every tone that comes from this masterpiece. I've put a variety of guitars into it and they all sound fantastic. The Brake Lite is really nice, too. It's very gentle with the power reduction and it's still pretty loud, but manageable for apartment life playing. We cranked it up in the shop and it can move some serious air and has quite the clean, crisp thump and thick and meaty "oomph" with the 2x10s. I scored a case on ebay (the ones in all the ads), made in Mississippi by Xcase for it as I do NOT want anything happening to it. VERY well made and high quality. And, most importantly, it's easier to shuffle around the house that way. My kudos to Dr. Z. I am a believer for life.

Welcome to the tribe. You know, Duane Allman drove a Ford Galaxie. I'm just saying ... His was blue.

Welcome to the tribe. You know, Duane Allman drove a Ford Galaxie. I'm just saying ... His was blue. I knew I liked the galaxie for more than it's tone. It's all coming together now. Congratulations on a great combo amp. The 2x10 is a great gigging amp. I use a brakelite to tame it just a bit.

Welcome to the tribe. You know, Duane Allman drove a Ford Galaxie. I'm just saying ... His was blue. This is good... The Gal has been my #1 for about a year now (although it shares that spot w/ my GT and SRZ ). The Gal has been getting the most playing time. Do you have the MV mod? It's a great mod.

Thanks for the karma and positive comments, guys! No mods. I like the Presence. I'm also obsessive about keeping things original. As for Duane Allman, it's quite unfortunate he didn't stick to his Galaxie and kept off the Harley....RIP.
