...or maybe i should quit dating her and propose already!!! ;D LOL!
OK, to the point... I would like to try to figure out the production date for my Carmen Ghia. The chassis says T-71450. The tubes, in order go: ECC83, 5751, EL84, EL84, 5Y3 (I've heard that can help determine the date). Beyond that I see no markings (maybe they're inside the chassis).
Can anyone help shed some light on the subject?

Lonny helped me break down the serial numbers just a week or two ago.. in addition to "T = 2009", "7 = Ghia", and "1450 = production number since serialization began in 1990". You got Ghia #1450. I got Ghia #1554 (2010).

New member. Just got a Ghia, from a great fella, here near Raleigh, NC. A blonde 2005 1x12 w/ Celestion Blue 30W. Serial is "P. 7874" (2005).
I'm in love with it. Got a Brake Lite in it. Also, been using a Swart Night Lite. It was in a road case and was in great condition. Got a great deal on it. I have yet to use it with the band, but it sounds great at the house. If it works out, the way I hope it will, I'll be selling the Mark IV, AC15, Marshall 100w Combo and a bunch of pedals. I like to plug into an amp and use the volume knob for clean to dirty. I use a vibrato pedal and sometimes a bit of reverb. I'd like to get the Z-Verb and a tube vibrato and call it quits for a while.
He had a JAN 5Y3 in it, with some russian 12ax's. I broke the center pin stem off of the NOS 5Y3. Cried for ten minutes and then went and put my only NOS Tung Sol 5Y3 in, to replace it. Sounded even better. I ended up putting a JJ 12AX in V1, with a NOS Mullard in V2. Still experimenting, but I like the so-called "hairy" sound this thing makes with my Les Paul Junior collection. I'm GASsing for a Strat, if I can find a USA 2002 HH Hardtail model. ..man, why did I ever sell that thing?

U-71629, which I gather is number 1629 from 2010.
New member here, I've had my Carmen Ghia about a year now and I love it!
I was wondering though, when did the "racing stripes" appear? Mine has the older logo. Goes nice with the surf green tolex, I might add.
