Just started playing with a band of old friends - haven't "been in a band" since 1990! Ha! Anyway, I'm pretty backwards in the ways of video and the web and in Facebook type stuff, but we wanted to put a couple of videos on the web so we could direct bar owners to see what we sound like playing live, maybe help us get some gigs. Recorded two original tunes in my living room/guitar room using Pro Tools and a regular old HD hand held digital movie camera and dropped them into our Facebook pages. Good sound, not so hot video quality, but we had a good time doing it. Anyway, I played my Tele through the Z Wreck for both tunes and my buddy Tim Kelliher played a Tele and a uke through the Remedy. You can hear and see 'em on the John James and the Skin N Bone Band Facebook pages (could only get one video to work on the Facebook page, so I put one on each of our pages). One tune is called "Train Train" and the other is "Tough Out There". Check 'em out. Amps sound superb. Had an Air Brake on both amps as we were recording live with amps and drums in the same room. I'm going straight into the Wreck without pedals and Timmy played through a Boss Blues Driver fuzz pedal. That's my boy Elliott on the drums! Tell me what you think!
Now I gotta figure out how to put 'em on You Tube for better quality video and a URL to send folks to. On the steep portion of the old learning curve for an old guy like me!

JJ, Seriously cool! I really dug that! The wife is now singing the chorus as she's packing the kids' lunch for school tomorrow. She came in when she heard it while I was watching the vid. I thought it had a Neil Young/Grateful Dead sorta vibe. Great tone and playing out of that Z-Wreck!

Thanks Bentop Steve for putting the link up! My hero in the computer hip dept of this forum. Here's another original tune. Same set up for me with the Z Wreck but Timmy is playing the blonde tele through the Remedy. Don't forget to wear some headphones or earbuds - high fidelity sounds! www.facebook.com/v/120417441360967jj

Thanks, everybody, for your kind words and for checkin' out our vids. It's been so fun puttin' 'em up on the web I'm guessing we'll do more down the road.
How 'bout that Z Wreck tone though, right? Just a Tele and a guitar cable! Who could ask for anything more?

Thanks Steve. He's kinda a natural at drums. I'm so, so blessed to have him take up and love our style of music and to be able to play music with him through so many years and venues thus far. We play at home, record together, and have gigged (sporadically) in all sorts of different combos through the years. Really a lucky dad. Very thankful for that twist in my life.

That sounds radio-ready. I would venture to say it's better than a LOT of what I hear on the radio. Good luck with that, man.

Both tunes can be found on You Tube. Search Train Train Skin N Bone Band for one and Tough Out There Skin N Bone Band for the other.
Thanks.

JJ, you need to make some albums with that song on it. I would ceratinly buy one. Oh, and that Z-Wreck sounded amazing in both songs!
