1x12 Old style Z cab ..like it for portability 1x12 Emporer cab ...modeled after the 1x12 Orange cabs 2x12 1966 BF Bandmaster Piggyback cab still in good shape
I have the following speakers..all 12's
Celestion Gold and a Blue Weber SilverBell, Blue ceramic Matchless G12-30 Old Fender Label (early 80's) eminence
any suggestions for which to try first ? and who put that Cozumel brochure on my workbench ? ;D

First of all congratulations on a great investment in one of the best amps on the planet. I suggest the gold based on Steve's analysis he has been right on all of the advise he has given me over the years on this forum. I Know its shows in my avatar that I am a new member but Im actually not. I left and came back under a new name. Its a long story but to make it a short one take my advise don't ever sell your Remedy!

I think both John and the rev are correct: if you want open back, you can hardly go wrong with a Gold. If you want closed back, that Silver Bell might be the ticket. I usually run my Remedy into a pair of open back convertibles with Golds in each. In fact I don't even own a closed back cab any more (assuming my Z-Best eventually sells).
All that said, we all hear it differently, and you may find a lot of value in a completely different setup. Only your ears will give the final verdict.

Thanks for the info looks like the Gold is going to be a winner I'm going to mix the others in the 2x12 cab for home use ...too heavy for bar use but it might see outdoor gig duty ;D I'm really hoping with it's 1/2 power capability it will be a versatile amp for club/outdoor gig use either way I'll keep it and add it to the Family

The Remedy has killer cleans with the "loudness" knobs backed down. For a club gig you can either add pedals or use a Brake Lite to control the output level.
You will love it. Congrats on the soon-to-be addition.

Nice score Albert. I don't have a Remedy, but I figure the Antidote is in the family. I've got a Z-12 in my closed back Z-cab and a WGS Blackhawk is in an open back cab at church. Very happy with both. I'm liking the Z-12 a lot, but let me know how that Silverbell sounds when you get to it.

I used a Gold but switched to a Creamback - they both do the job but the Cream gets the edge!

I'e never had a Remedy but I had two combinations of the non-Gold speakers you have in an open back 2x12 that worked well with several Z models in the past:
Blue plus 50 watt ceramic Blue Dog - Never liked the Blue as a stand alone 1x12 speaker but this was a surprisingly good combination that I used for a long time. Only a 30 watt cab however. Can't remember the output of a Remedy. Silver Bell and Blue Dog, both 50 watt ceramics.

He's was right the Cream Alnico is great with the Remedy, especially a red one.
