Slowly making improvements to the “grab and go” board. Added a Cioks DC5 underneath to isolate the power and clean up the daisy chain.
Thoughts on el cap??
It definitely delivers the goods with the short amount of time I’ve spent with it. How could so many people be wrong? lol Anyways, it’s too soon to report on things more in depth as I haven’t even gotten into the secondary functions or favorite switch. I literally spent most of the day rearranging the board and installing the dc5.

Added a Flint Thats quite the board! I had a guy offer me a silver Klon as a part trade toward a z wreck. I don’t have it listed for sale, but he knows I have one and keeps trying to pry it from my hands. I don’t think I can give up the amp for a pedal. Just doesn’t make sense.

I would not trade an amp for a pedal either.

I'm about to upgrade to a larger PedalTrain to add 2-3 more pedals but here's what I'm using right now with my EZG-50.

With a myriad of different styles to cover during the festival season I built out the Pedaltrain to the "walls!" The Hot Cake has been a bit flaky of late so the Timmy is a backup. There's no more room in the inn!

This thread's pretty cool. It's kind of a brief history of whatever's current state of play in pedalboards. Here's my board for tonight's Surf Wisconsin party/gig--decided to throw the Eau Claire Thunder on there in honor of my increasingly groovy hometown. Will slam it on for Crossroads, and maybe a couple more. Will be running humbuckers into a gorgeous red Z-Lux at full power.

Added a benson preamp. Sold off the RC booster and ocd. The benson does everything from clean tone shaping to dying tweed. My Swiss Army knife Timmy is doing boost duties and does it better than the RC booster... go figure. Chain: Gretsch g6112tcb-jr or PRS Stripped 58 -> Mad Professor Forest green compressor hand wired -> Benson Preamp -> Snouse Black Box 2 -> Paul Cochrane Timmy -> Jam Pedals Ripply Fall -> Strymon El Capistan -> Diamond Memory Lane JR. -> Strymon Flint -> Boss TU-3 -> TC Electronic Ditto -> Dr. Z Z-28

I’ve really gotta quit selling and adding stuff to my board. I haven’t even made it to a new page without totally redoing things. A few items have stuck, but I’ve started going down the rabbit trail of modulation as of late. After an adventure with a Mobius, I landed on getting two analog modulation pedals: the JHS Unicorn V2 (this is my second time with it and previously had V1; dunno if the circuit is different but I like it much better this time around) and the Warped Vinyl MkII HiFi. Edit: instead of a new post, I’ve update my pedalboard photo. Added a RYRA and cannot recommend it enough! The Unicorn v2 is a convincing univibe that does some other sweet modulation as well (a really solid vibrato on the wet side).

Went back to this set up I really missed that Jam pedals retro vibe. This set up covers a lot of ground for me especially with it being a small board.

trojanhovA Z Wreck and Ghia. But actually, come to think about it, I’ve only run it through my Fender Champ XD (practice amp) so far. I’ve been on bass duty at church since I got it. I used it as a boost for bass this past week. It adds a hair too much treble for bass, imo, but it was different running bass through my board (I hadn’t done that before). The Champ XD is a pretty nice little practice amp though. I like it better than the Swart I had.

I'm tired of lugging an amp to rehearsal. We always have a nice PA/monitors set up, and our keyboard player already goes direct with no amp. SO....I put together this little board to run direct. It has all of my "always on" pedals (or close facsimile) from my gig board. Powering the whole sheebang by a One-Spot.

I've been setting at home in Central Florida, waiting for this storm to (hopefully) pass us by. I figured I might as well change up the pedal board.
