On a few occasions, I've read comments on the board that caused me to want a Z-Verb. But, it's not really something I need. If I obtained one, I'd probably use it for just a 'bit of swirl.. nothing extreme. Cast your votes and provide some explanations, especially if you vote "other"...

I use it for some nice ambiance... I under utilize it for what it can do.
It's a very sweet verb from subtle to heavy surf...

Yep if you place it on the floor you could use a third hand and have instant surf when you needed it.

Hey Corey - use mostly for ambiance; occasionally just a bit of swirl too. I don't do the surf thing, but man the Z-Verb will do it! It is fun to turn up the verb and play around a little with it with all that splashing going on. Beautiful verb, slightly adds some wonderful coloration to your tone too.

Hey everyone. I'm new to the board.
I suppose my use falls into the swirl category. I use mine in front of a cranked amp, so I'm going for a kind of slap-back type reverb sound.
I replaced the tank in mine with a medium decay tank (the stock tank is a long decay). It helps A LOT with getting the subtle swirl sound. I'm considering going with a tank with an even shorter decay.

Tiny amount of verb added. I mainly like what it does to the base sound of the Tele - can't quite put my finger on it. Little extra tubey. ? Little bit of tube compression? I don't know exactly, I just like it.

Has anyone used it with a Stang Ray? tom I used it with a stangray and I have to say it was an amazing effect for that amp. I since sold it. I use a Demeter spring reverb on my pedal board for my Dr Z Mazerati and I use the 3 knob fender reverb built in to my Custom Shop Fender Dual Professional. Both of those are great reverbs and serve my needs well. But the zverb tops them both.

I loved the Z-Verb with the MAZ Jr NR and a Tele. The Z-Verb rounds off the highs just a bit and maybe adds a touch of compression, so it's a cool effect even if you don't count the big, lush reverb. I ended up returning mine and putting the $ into a Monza, which I then sold. Wish I had both of them back!
