Been looking at higher gain distortion pedals, and I just heard a pretty interesting Keeley Rat clip on another board.
Anyone using one of these with a Z? Any opinions/experiences?

Good stuff! I've got JChance's, and I like it. I use it into a Z28.

Good to hear, I have one on the way. Those Keeley folks are really great people.

Good to play it too! The "filter" knob is pretty cool. I use this pedal with the 3-way switch predominantly to the "left" and tune the filter to taste - I'm achieving a cool throaty growl, which is what I was hearing and hoping for.

Got it, and I think I'm sending it back. Hard to describe, but it just doesn't get me to where I wanted it to. It's a little fizzy on top and a little too mid-heavy (which seem like ridiculous nit-picky things to point out when I'm talking about a high gain distortion pedal). Could be the way that the Mazerati is voiced that causes it not to like this pedal.
