Ok , Rc stays on , just a great clean boost ,got rid of the fatboost was real dark after using RC. now to the AC, just playing it in the house has been a blast .just the right amount of mid there. it is so sweet. this is a keeper. overtones out the .................. BB well who ever said Marshall in a box hit it on the head . this is real distortion. without the funny overtones. very even. cant wait to hear it cranked this weekend i'll be back......................................my Ghia was saying "thank you master" Oh man... my BB will be here tomorrow. I can get the other two locally (at least I could last week) so if I like the BB as much as I think I will, I may pop for the other two right away. Have to move things around on the pedal board though - need to lose my wah to get everything on there! But I never use that anyway.

Steve, you will love the way the BB interacts with the RC. Huge classic marshall sounds. Rich creamy overdrive/distortion, never over the top but always enough. Just perfect for me. That being said I am still on the list for a Mosferatu for that high-gain sound. Still nothing will ever knock the BB/RC of my board. I've got a MJM Blues Devil coming in and a MJM London Fuzz II which is his silicon fuzz. He hand picked the best ones out of his stock for me, so the Analogman TS9/silver should be very, very afraid. ;D

I am also in love with the BB. I had the AC, but I replaced it with a Zendrive. I am also in the market for a Mosferatu after Lefty's comments. When you get yours let us know what you think.

Man - you guys have me thinking about moving my RC now. I'm using it first in line and leaving it on all of the time just to fatten the sound a bit. Now I want to try it at the end of the chain. I'll have to give it a shot this week.

Hey JZ! Long time no hear... I had my RC at the front for a while...I liked it. However, I am now using the AC right after my compressor and the RC is at the end of the chain. I am very happy with it! Just a hint of break up and a good cranked amp feel at an audible level. BTW...I love the BB preamp. the BB/RC combo is KILLER!
I can't imagine what your rig sounds like now...when we met in St. Louis it sounded amazing! I told my buddy Tom at the Ameristar that night that you were a tone/chops monster. I am jealous of all your latest toyz. ie...zendrive, crunch box...etc...
You will have to post your latest board on your site.
My best Paul Kwant aka 6strang

I definitely like the way the RC sounds at the end of the chain - just boosts what you already have down tone-wise. And the tone controls let you cut/boost what might be too much - same for the gain too. I had tried it in front, and if I didn't have a good amp, I might have kept it there - since it can make your sound so full, but I think it sounds best at the end.
Definitely a keeper. I've got it down to Hellbilly, Zendrive, Envelope, RC Boost, Delay into my RxES. Lot's of tones at my disposal.

Tele62,
Pull the trigger. I have a BB into a Keeley Compressor into an RC. The RC is indespensable and the BB, while it doesn't cover all territory, it has a really good sound especially with a tele. If you've ever listened to GregV (www.gregv.us) he has an RC on his pedal board with a Fulldrive 2 (I've heard the BB is essentially the same circuit as the FD2 and I believe it). I can get those kinds of tele sounds with the BB/RC combo. Really nice. Definitely worth the price.

As for the BB being int he FD2 camp, maybe a smidge sonically but from a design/circuit stand point, no way. I see two opamps under the goop in the BB to the FD2's one. And the BB has more low mids, more gain. Maybe more like the FD2 boost channel, but it still kills the FD2 IMHO. As for the RC, it comes across to me as more of an EQ/Boost. Not as "fat" sounding as a Klon, but a very "non-intrusive" sounding box just the same.

Right now that's where mine is and it is working great!

Has anyone checked out the Javaboosts? I'm wondering if anyone has compared the RC boost and the Java?

My RC and BB will be here today. I'm getting all shook up - a uh huh huh.......I thought tho, that the RC was the dirtier of the AC and RC. I see alot of AC's on eBay but no RC's. That should say something I guess eh?? I guess if Doyle II likes it I should too. Then what do I have left to get in the overdrive dept to use with my Mazzies Jr's I have? Cheycaster

Cheycaster RC has some gain, but of the two, the BB will be your overdrive, and the RC will make your guitar "sweet"....
