Kinda bummed, I got an awesome Les Paul a few weeks ago, and the 'Rati just doesn't get along with it. Bridge pickup sounds OK through it, but the middle and neck pickups are just really mushed out. Same axe through my pedalboard and a Marshall Plexi type, sounds awesome! Other than that, the strat still sounds awesome through it, just the Les Paul sounds kinda flat..
Anyone else playing a Les Paul through their Mazerati?

It's a head on a Truetone 2x12 loaded with a Naylor Special 50 and a Scumback H55 30w.

I'm playing a LP with p90's thru a 'Rati, using only a clean boost and sometimes no pedal at all. I use the volume on the guitar to clean it up a bit. And I'm liking it. Are you using pedals with the 'Rati? How does your LP sound thru the Marshall plexi style amp with no pedals?

Yeah, I have a Lovepedal Amp50 and an Xotic BB+ that I run. The Marshall sounds pretty dang good, actually!

Use the volume controls on the guitar , roll the neck pickup volume back to about 7 , you might even try lowering the neck pickup alittle !

I'm gonna swap tubes out this week, I have a few sets of JJ's here, and some old preamp tubes around too..
Was fiddling with it last night. I had the tone knob at about three o'clock, and that seemed to be a nice spot for the strat, but I eased off on the tone and the sparkle came back a little. I thought the higher the tone was set, the more hi end I would get, but it seemed to add a lot of low mids, and things got kinda boomy there, almost like the wah was on and cocked a little..
Actually, I'm still adjusting to the Les Paul. After playing one exclusively for six or seven years, and then the Strat exclusively for for or five, it's taking me a while to get into the feel and operation of it...

Hey, good luck. When I got my 'Rati via a trade, I took it to Z's shop and got it re-tubed, so maybe you're on the right track. I take it you got a used 'Rati like I did.
And, yeah, Z's tone knob is kinda reversed ... turn to the right and loose highs, turn to the left to get highs and loose low mids. I keep mine somewheres around high noon.
Post again once you've had a chance to fiddle a bit.
