I'm looking for a new large pedalboard, and I'm, thinking the big Pedaltrain or MKS Pedal Pad. I run three pedals at 18V with my Dunlop brick, so I don't need a power supply....just an angled board with a case and the ability to run the power supply and cables underneath with eleven pedals, including a wah. Any feedback on these boards or any other suggestions?

I've got a MKS pedal pad (THE BIGGEST ONE) without the power supply (so it has as much space as possible for pedals) IS SET at an angle and loaded with brand new velcro... It has a power strip and plenty of room underneath to run things...I looked at the Pedaltrain and even the biggest wouldn't have been big enough for me with the pedals I was running...
I bought it used, is in very good condition and I used it 2 times....I had alot of pedals and some BIG ones but I've really downsized and I now use the new SKB ps-45.....the MKS has been just sitting in my guitar room taking up space...been meaning to put it on E-bay but haven't done it yet...
with what you described, I think the MKS is what your looking for.... BIG!! if this might be something your interested send me a personal message...could send you pics/ put it on e-bay for ya...I got a perfect e-bay rating...
Even if you don't want mine maybe you'd rather get a new one or something.....look into the MKS without their built in power supply....I think it'd be right down your alley for 11 pedals. It is huge.... It was perfect for me before I downsized !

I scored a medium size pedaltrain used for $24, without the case. But I love this board. You might have to get creative with the placement and routing of cables to get that many (11) pedals on the large pedaltrain.

Foxx is right, I like the Pedaltrain also, (I think their largest size would work) for what you described I think it's the only other one that would work having the cords and powersupply underneath as you described, and you would have to get creative with your pedal placement but I tried that one too and it would work but not quite as easy w/ 11 pedals....
but the plus for THE PEDALTRAIN would be that it's smaller and lighter than the MKS the MKS is HUGE... 38"Lx9"H x15"W...
I also looked into TM cases, I liked them also... they have some good size boards...you couldn't quite run it the way you described BUT they have a board w/ a 2nd tier that you could run your dunlop brick under the 2nd tier...could make it work....
for that matter I LOVE my SKB PS-45!!!! I got 8 pedals a channel switcher and a tuner on it (all mostly smaller in size than before when I used the MKS)...If ANYONE is looking for a board with built in power supply this is a great board!!! I'll be using this board for a long time!
Not really trying to sell my old MKS..if you don't want it i'll probably just keep it but It's just sittin there takin up space....somebody else could be using it... if your willing to lug all that around...
bottom line is, w/ MKS you could easily run the setup your looking at...only down side is the weight (wood and built pretty sturdy)) of the board + the pedals...this thing is big..need to take that into consideration, lugging it around (one of the reasons I downsized)........
but the PEDALTRAIN is made of lighter wieght metal w/ a lightweight tuff plastic ATA case...still heavy but much lighter than MKS or TM cases would be and I think you could run what your talkin about with it (but here you may have to fill up every space and work your pedals onto the board, and I THINK you'd have to leave the board IN the tray / bottom of the case because thats where your Dunlop brick would be unless you can find space for it on the board, I think thats accurate...but maybe bluzsteel can help with the PEDALTRAIN plus side)
hope this helps you make your choice

First consideration...size. Too small, and you have no room for growth. Too big and it's a waste of space and a lot to lug around.
Second consideration...features. Angled vs. no angle. Some like the tilt, for some it doesn't matter. Case, no case. What style of case, gig bag or hard shell.
Also price. I've had my share of boards through the years, and I'm a bit picky. Here's a brief run down.
SKB Fulltone board and case...great stuff and I sold it like an idiot. Pedalboard.com...way too big for my needs. The hard case was not all that great but effective. Pedaltrain..the first one, absolutely great stuff. I have the original one, but I can't fit my wah onto it. Pedaltrain Jr. great for a small board, but I never used it, always needed something that wasn't on it.
I've found my perfect size...28x16. Not too big, not too small. I have a case for it that is the tour style case with a lift off lid and the board sits in the tray.
My suggestion would be Pedaltrain. Well built, reasonably priced. If they had one in the size and case features I needed, I would have gone that way again.

I've got a two-tier TMC. I don't have my Pedal Power under the shelf, but it will fit under there. It's pretty freakin' heavy with the road case and everything, but it's really durable. Here's a pic: www.johnzocco.com/Jan 2006 Pedalboard.jpg[/img]

Jason I always tell people that it's an essential part of the "brown sound" that everyone likes. Someone on the Gear Page asked me if it was true-bypass. Lefty - that site rocks! Next year's Xmas shopping will be a breeze! ;D
