I was thinking of trying a set in my Rati. Anyone have experience with these?
Thanks
UPDATE:Well I have to say I've never been much of a tube swapper but with the rati it's easy and fun. The latest bunch has really open my eyes to the tonal possibilities that can be achieved. I have never used NOS tubes before and thought what the heck and picked some up from Doug's tubes. I bought an RCA 5AR4 and two GE five stars along with four non-NOS TAD EL84-STR. I put them in warmed them up and, good morning TONE! I was burning through the new rectifiers often so it will be interesting to see how long it will last. As far as the TAD EL84s I would absolutely recommend them. The notes are there as soon as you hit the string very nice. They added a singing sustain that was there but not as prevalent before. All together a great tone day in the house I'm hoping the NOS mojo stays with me for a while. Video here...

I find the Rati not to picky when it comes to power tubes ! Preamp and rectifiers ......different story!
