So I accidentally wired up my Brake Lite backwards. Everything seems fine. I doubt I did any damage. Can someone confirm this? It works better for me to wire it in backwards because I had my Brake Lite mounted inside my 2x12 cab.

No worries. I think this came up a week or two ago, maybe in the 'experts' section. I believe the consensus was a load is a load.

What do you mean, when hooked it up backwards? The unit up side down? That won't make a difference except your going from 4 to 1 on knob. If you unplug speaker wire from amp, there is only 1 place to plug it in on the Blake Lite unit than wire from BrakeLite unit to where other speaker wire was plugged into amp?

I suppose if one runs a head/cab set up you could plug the attached 1/4" plug into the back of the cab and end up "backwards." Standalone BL could end up reversed too. At least this is a harmless error, unlike some others

Still don't understand, how hook up backwards, please explain.
I just installed a Brake Lite in my Stang Ray 2x12 combo, and I noticed when not playing anything, just standing there while plugged in, its seems to have a louder hum while not playing than it did before,is it hooked up backwards?
But I still don't understand how hook up backwards.

You've got it set up correctly: Brake Lite cable with plug goes into the amp's speaker output and the plug connected to the speakers goes into the Brake Lite jack.

You will be deamplified, the sonic counterpart of looking "backward" through a telescope. Except it will be much more expensive than "looking backward through a telescope".

Sometimes I love to scream my guitar solos into the speaker and watch the strings on my guitar play themselves!
But wouldn't an attenuator lessen the string vibrations??
