Just wondering if the airbrake will work ok with my mesa triple rectifier 150wt head. I read in the review that it attenuates up to 100wt's, is that the limit?..will anything bad happen..?

I wouldn't go that high. Prolly burn it up if you did it for very long.
Might want to look at the THD Hot Plate - it'll do up to 185 watt tube head.

I don't know about the wattage issue, but I have tried the airbrake with two different 100w amps and the sound was not that good. Now, don't get me wrong I am a huge fan of the airbrake, I run them on 3 Z's. At 50 watts and less they are without rival. With my high gain 100w amps they darken the sound and seem to take some of the gain out. I have tried them with a 5150 III and a Marshall JCM 2555. For those I have a THD, not totally transparent but almost.
