Was just playing the Route 66 into a 2x12 w/Celestion Blues. Since these are efficient I had the A/B on "bedroom". When I adjusted the level a couple of times the knob felt quite warm. Just how warm should the A/B get??? I was running the Route 66 on noon to 1 on Vol with treble at noon to 3 and bass at noon. I had noticed this before. But I just had the SRZ-65 running into the same 2x12 and didn't notice any heat on the bedroom knob. I had the SRZ vol on 9 and gain on 3 most of the time but I also had both on noon for a while, too.
All help appreciated!!

You'll get some heat if you play it for a while. All the extra power that is being attenuated is being converted to heat. As long as you stay below 100 watts, you won't have any problems, but the Airbrake would be getting pretty warm with that much power. For the RT 66 I think you could play it wide open all night and not kill the Airbrake. But yeah, it will get warm.

I've blasted my Route 66 with all knobs on 3:00
Yes, the Airbrake gets warm...which is to be expected.
The SRZ with the volume only on 9 should be pretty tame. So perhaps that's why the unit wasn't warm with the SRZ.

Thanks Guys!
I'll pay attention to the A/B but won't be overly concerned, now.
