My ragged old '58 Deluxe is a fun little amp that begins to distort as soon as you turn it up and maxes out distortion at about 10 or 11 o'clock! Single 12" Jensen speaker. Not much low end at all, and pretty midrangy, but fun and I've recorded a lot with this amp and used it a lot for band rehearsal to very enjoyable effect. This amp was the hardest to match up with the Gal, because the Gal is such a rich sounding amp, and the Deluxe is just a little nasty thang (metaphorically comparing it to a desireable woman in some ways comes to mind at this point, but maybe that is better off left unsaid: I won't go there, or did I already?). But I was able to get the Gal pretty close. The Good News: presence maxed, bass 8:00 (dial it all the way down, then dial it in til you just start to hear the low come in, then stop), treble 2:30, volume 1 maxed, Air Brake 3 clicks back. This is not very loud, and you could not really gig with this little Deluxe - not loud enough. But with these settings you can sound like the Deluxe, and come up on the brake to get some volume. I don't see me using these settings too much live, cause I would wanna dial in some lows, and compared to the other amps I've listed, this one is a bit harsh sounding. But for whatever it's worth, there it is! Enjoy.
