Finally got around to putting the Remedy on tape. Cleanish but a bit hairy. I recorded a little cheesy loop on the Line 6 DL-4 an just noodled a for a bit. Excuse all the clams, cheesiness and stolen licks. Signal chain: Asat Classic -> OCD -> RC Booster -> DL-4 -> Verbzilla -> Remedy Head on 20w mode -> Avatar 2x12 / G12h30 -> MXL Condenser -> Studio Projects Preamp -> Line In Canon 7d. Settings for pedals shown in video. jasontonline.com/sounds/remedy/I LOVE this amp! Thanks Dr. Z for another great amp. Jason

Very sweet indeed - makes you see a different side of the amp not shown on the Z videos. Great job!

This video would have made me buy a Remedy very quickly!!! Great job.... Very nicely done... Much nicer than the Remedy vid on the Docs' site... That one doesn't sound good to me at all..... its a shame cause the Remedy ROCK!!!!

Thanks Jason for the clip. Nice licks! If that amp sounds that good with the tone stack dialed way back like that....I can't wait to hear mine dialed up a bit...

Was this all done with the 7D, I have one and this looks interesting, interested in your microphone setup. . .

Hi Lonny, Yes the video and audio was all done with the 7D. The video was edited in Final Cut but he audio was untouched aside from going to stereo from mono.
The recording setup was just a 990 MXL into a Studio Projects VTB1, into a small SoundCraft mixer (that I normally use for computer recording) and then line out into the 7D via a 1/4 to mini plug adapter. You have to really turn down the signal going into the 7D or it will overload the input and distort the signal. The only problem with the 7D is the AGC (auto gain control), which as you can hear - adds alot of compression and kills the dynamics. I know there will be a firmware hack sooner of later to defeat that but as of now its my only complaint in this setup. For trivial work like this i'll just live with it rather having to control two devices and then synching later.
BTW I see you have a CS 63 Tele - I also have one - best sounding guitar i've ever owned! Jason
