Here's the best trick that I've found to allow me to crank my Maz Jr, keep the tone, and be almost at bedroom volume. I picked up a Randall Isolation Cabinet. www.randallamplifiers.com/products/cabinets/isolation/index.aspIt's a speaker box with a lid. You drop a mic inside, run it to a little mixer, add some room reverb, and you then have your Maz in your headphones or studio monitors. It comes with a Celestion Vintage 30. It doesn't beat my Greenback in my Maz Jr Combo, but it does allow me to record at any time of the day or night. It's not silent, but now that I've been able to move the cabinet into a basement closet, the noise, I mean music, is manageable.
