Well, I just got a brand new Z Galaxie from Humbucker Music - a 2007 model - no master volume, has the Presence control. If you are into the tweed tone, there is nothing better. I love this amp! I have a Vintage re-issue '57 Strat and a Vintage re-issue '62 Strat and they both sound fantastic through this amp. I have been using it in Triode mode and I have the Brake Lite installed (which I have clicked on "2") using channel 1 with the volume turned up to around 2 O'clock. The best! One thing to note - it is a LOUD amp! I previously had a Marshall 100w Super Lead and this is louder! I would say you absolutely have to get the Brake Lite. I'm thinking of getting a Gibson ES-335. Anybody out there play a 335 through the Galaxie? I'm thinking it would sound awesome! Comments would definitely be welcome. ;D
Go for it! You need this amp! It is one superb amplifier. Dr. Z has a hit with the Galaxie.

I should mention that I have the 2X10 combo with the Dr. Z 10" speakers. I used to think that the Celestion Greenbacks were the best speakers, bar none - but these Z 10" speakers are absolutely fantastic! I can't say enough about this amp.
