I know that the increments of attenuation can be adjusted internally on the Airbrake but does that include the first click?
I have a Hotplate and my problem is that often times the first click (4 db I think) is too much. I keep wishing there one between off and the first.
Anyone else experience this? how did you remedy it? If the airbrake has this feature, I think I will switch, meaning I will have a 8 ohm hotplate for sale.
Thanks,

I have a THD Hotplate that I used to use with a '57 Bassman. It was also too much attenuation with the 4db clicks. I sent it to Andy Marshall and he modded it for free to have 2db clicks. That was much better. 4 db was just too much.

On the Air brake the first "click" (setting 1) is VERY little attenuation, very useful, as you creep toward the "Bedroom" setting you can really cut the power, it darkens the tone a bit at these levels, especially on pure class A amps. It is an excellent product IMO.
