This should be an interesting thread and good place to see what might be comming down the pike in the BST section between now and the Holidays.

Sadly, I don't think I have enough stuff to get there.
Even if I moved my Top Hat & Maz Jr, I'd still be (conservatively) $1,500 short.
Not to say that it's not a fair price, but $3500 is a lot for a brother to swing in this economy. I could probably swing the head by itself, & upgrade to the cab later, but I understand that won't be an option.
Again, it's the Doc's call & I have no beef with it, but I'm bummed I'll most likely be left out fo the party... :-(

Whatever it takes ;D
I was able to play a Z-wreck back to back with an RXJr set up similar to my rig, and I've come to the conclusion that the Z-wreck is the sound I've been trying to get from the Rx the whole time I've had it.

I feel terrible. I love my Rx jr. very much and will not get rid of it. but... i still wanna figure a way to get a z wreck. something tells me the z wreck is gonna be one of those amps that hold their value on the used market as well. But i know if i end up getting a z wreck that the Rx jr is gonna end up with a little bit o' dust on it.

Well my list is short, so I have concluded that it has to be either the wife or one of the grandkids. Unfortunately, upon investigation, it appears they have laws about that sort of behavior, so it may be a while for me...

Got a '66 Super Reverb that I just can't ever sell......they don't make'em anymore youknowutimean?
Got a Ghia that I might could sell........but how many people here have sold a ghia just to turn around the next day or week and start looking for another one......
I might unload a bunch of pedals, and stuff.
Does the Zwreck cab come with a Brakelite? If so, I've got an Airbrake that I could sell....
Epiphone Les Paul is definitely going to go.....but that won't get me far.
............sigh...........Guess I need to get me some penny wrappers.

This is gonna kill me, but I bought the #30 or 35 Les Paul that was redone by Bill Nash. I had to wait a while to get one new. He doesn't do many of them, but the wait was worth it. The relic job he does is fantastic. The bridge pup is swapped out for a DiMarzio Air Norton and the neck a DiMarzio Bluesbucker. Both are coil tapped and the tone knobs act as the tap. Once you spin them past 8.5, they go from a tone control to a coil tap and you've got single coils. It's an amazing array of tones at your finger tips. You don't see them for sale much in the used market. He's only done about 35-40ish. More info - nashguitars.com/lp_guitars.htmlI'm trying to figure out a way to move some other gear before September as I want to keep this Nash LP with me, but I don't see a quicker way to get to $3500.

Thinking long and hard about selling my Bruno Cow Tipper 22 combo which is far and away the best Deluxe Reverb type amp I've ever played. This is going to be a hard decision.

I tell ya, it sure is one amazing amp (the Cow Tipper that is), but I've just got to come up with a way to get my hands on a Z-Wreck sooner or later. I tend to lean more toward the British flavored amps, but the Bruno does an outstanding job of delivering the blackface Fender tones that I have heard in my head but unable to get out of any other amp, including real deal vintage Fender. Decisions, decisions...

I'm not goin' there again. Sold my coveted, pre-ban Colt AR-15, + pre-ban 20/30/40 round mags, + tactical case + a sh!tload of ammo, to fund the Remedy/Z-fest '09. Made a HUGE profit on it, since I had owned it for so long.
Do NOT regret it. Just 'aint gonna do it again.
I recently bought an ATV for 4k(cash). My 'ol gurl(Deb) loves to ride behind me, 10,000 miles from nowhere, and trusts me implicitly(dumb broad ;D). She also sits behind me on the Harley, wherever I go.
I spent the cash-on-hand, I had dedicated for the Wreck, for something that "both of us" could enjoy right now. But... I will have it "in hand" again soon.
I was one of the "lucky" ones, that got to play it on stage, WFO.
OMG, chirrens.........With my R7 goldtop, runnin' strate in to that thing.........it was(what's the word I'm lookin' for?)..........
"A-fkn-Mazing" is the best I can do. I HAVE to own one.
You all saw the "Roscoe" vid. AWEsome toneage on "Hurricane", indeed. I told Eric, afterwards..."I closed my eyes, and I saw/heard..... Neil".
But........
juss wait 'til you hear the "Blue Jean Blues" vid. If the tone on the video, is ANYthing like what was in that room that day.........WOW!! There is still NO way, to describe the "feel" of that rig.
I'm not talkin' about the playing/chops/peeps/...etc.... I'm talkin'....TONE.
IIRC, DrZ came up to the stage, & gave me the big thumb during that trip. Not exactly sure, since I had my eyes closed during most of it.....just getting totally lost in the tone I was getting, w/that LP + cord(PCNS) + Z-Wreck. Goot goobully goo!
I guess my point is...........I WILL own one, but.............on my own terms. I HATE selling/parting with amps/instruments/stuff, that it has taken me a lifetime to acquire. I simply, refuse to do it...again.
You asked.... Hope all this makes sense.

I was thinking about getting a new set of speakers for the home stereo system this fall, but that would be about $16,000 Now I'm thinking about a new Z-Wreck and a new Reinhardt Ampzilla instead (Trainwreck Express vibe!) Part of me wishes I could actually play ;D Keith
