Hey all, this may be a silly question but I'd still like an answer ... Does the footswitch cable length affect the sound? Does the signal actually go through the footswitch cable? Iggs

No. It's simply a switching mechanism on/off, open/closed.

Thanks ... had a crazy idea that the pre-amp signal actually "flows" through the footswitch cable before it gets to the power-amp, but if that's not the case ... great!

Sorta OT, but it's a footswitch Q so...
I was reading once......(ba dump)
OK, I was reading once in a Mesa Boogie manual where it stated you could in a pinch short the footswitch jack with a paper clip or something to engage the switch in the event you forgot the footswitch itself. Is that possible in the 6545?
