Just wondering. Besides a Z-Best 2-12, what cabs have you guys been using with your 6545?

I am using a 2 x 12 (26" x 20" x 13" made for me by Laney Amplification) with a Celestion G12H and a G12M in parallel (8 ohms). I am switching the speakers though to 2 Weber Alnico Thames in Series (16 Ohms). still waiting on the order to come in at this time. Will let you know how it goes with the new speakers. The reason for the switch was that the Celestions would get kind of boomy on me at times.

I'm using 2 1x12 ycx traynor cabs with eminence cannabis rex's. Good clear, smooth or crunchy sounds on both channels depending on how the amp is set up. These speakers aren't for metalheads. Good for rock, blues, jazz, country.
Nice thing about having 2 seperate 1x12 cabs is I can stack them top to bottom, side by side, break them up and put one on either side of the room or use only one for a hard driven speaker sound.

I'm using a Z 2x10 cab & couldn't be happier. Nice thick tone. The Z 2x10 cabs are amazing.

Your rig sounds great Prowler, didn't think a 2-10 would "rock it up" but sounds fantastic! Might be a handy cab to have.

Indeed. A Z 2x10 is one of the best cabs out there.

Indeed. A Z 2x10 is one of the best cabs out there. I'm real happy with the 2x10's in my MAZ Jr...my brother came over yesterday & we really gave those suckers a workout...I use to wonder when people would get the 2x10's for a SR or something if it was "enough" speaker....I have no dought now!

Yeah, the 210 cabs will take it. Each speaker can handle 75 watts! I've plugged 100 watt Plexi Super Leads into the Z 210 cab and it kills! But for a more classic 12" sound, nothing beats the Z best or possibly an old HIWATT 412 with Fanes, but those are a bit much for most rooms.
