I plan to get an RX Jr. 112 here shortly. I do not plan to gig with it. My only needs are to play in a bedroom/apartment setting with a clean country twang tone. Should the master do well enough to dampen the noise and still give great tone? or should I still invest in the Break lite as an addition. seems redundant to me. anybody have some advice?

While the Master is one of the best Master Volumes on an amp, for home playing the Brake Lite is really nice with the RxJr. too. I use one mine on occasion with great results. If you can afford it you'll probably be glad you have it.

I agree with the bluzman, I use an Airbrake with mine to fine tune that overdrive crunch just right.

I have an rxjr head with 2x12 open back cab and honestly I've never found the need to have a brakelite for my jr. I play a lot in my tiny 10x10 room and it's not too loud for me and I still get great tone at low volume. For me it would be redundant since I run the amp clean and use drive pedals. At lower volume i would suggest running with the Overdose on though, it really rounds out the tone and will give you great boom and chime.
