Like any sane person, I have to have one of these amazing amps--the perfect compliment to my Maz 18s, I'm guessing, and a chance to cut way back on the number of pedals I currently lug to practice/gigs. The only question is whether to get the 110 or the 112 combo? (The head would be great--cheaper and more portable, but too loud for my purposes without attenuation.) I'm a big devotee of 112 amps--I like the bass response and relative "bigness" of a good one, and a bit skeptical of 110s: never heard one that didn't sound boxy and "small." The Monza 110 clips I've heard all sound great, but you can't tell much about bass response on a Powerbook. Will I be disappointed if I don't go for the 112?
Also, color is an issue: I have a blonde Maz Jr 112 and a red Maz Jr NR head/cab--love them both. Match? Contrast? Go for the trifecta and get a black one? So many decisions involved in a major gear purchase!

I had the 10" until I had to sell it for financial reasons. Next Monza for me will be 12" or 2x10 for sure. One 10" was just not warm or full enough for me. Hope that helps. Jason

It's scary how good the 1x10 combo sounds, especially considering how skeptical I was before trying it out.
If the Monza is mainly for small live shows, then a 1x10 would totally work. But if you are going to use it for other things- recording or big shows for example- then you might consider the 1x12 or a head with a Z-Best for the extended bass response. And a red combo would go nicely with your setup. I am thinking I might get a 1x12 Monza combo to sit on top of my Dr. Z 1x12 w/ EZG-50 to create a MINI-MONSTER STACK- just saying...
I think the edge of tone goes to the 1x12 or Z-Best over the 1x10- just by a little though. You couldn't go wrong, truly.

If you want a lightweight true grab and go, it's the 1x10. If you don't mind the larger dimension and weight, go with a 1x12 head/cab or combo. I need the true grab and go and am quite satisfied with the1x10. The one by 12 does have an edge, but like said above not wicked huge.

Man, oh man. Went back and listened to Frankie's clips again. That 110 is SWEET, and I've been thinking I need something lighter weight than my Maz 18 combo for band practice and small gigs--was leaning toward a Night Train or some such, but the Monza just kills it, sounds like. Oy. Decisions, decisions.
Thanks for the input, y'all.

Very happy with 1x10 nothing at all lacking in the tone or volume dept. I have not tried the 1x12, but have put my combo through all kinds of cabs including a 1x12 and I am still totally satisfied with the 1x10. The fact that this much tone is so easily portable makes the 1x10 the choice set up for me IMHO.

Love the ease of the 1x10, and I can always stick it on top of a larger cab if needed.
