New here as I've just picked up a s/h EZG here in the UK (number 43).
Mine has Svetlana's in it, are they original?
When i turn the reverb mix to max the volume goes way down and farty so i guess its the tube on the way out, Is it v2 or v3? Logic tells me its the AT7 in v2 but I'm not absolutely sure
Whats the recommended bias? I've got a feeling mine might be a little cold. Any reason why I can't fit external bias adjustment? it sure would make it easier to try different valves.
Is there a schematic available? I would like to try and get my head round why there is SOOoooooo much bass
I already have a 4x10 with Jensen P10R's in which I'm not that fond of (the J's that is, the cab is fine, built it myself 18mm birch ply, dovetailed joints). Is there a way to purchase the DrZ 10" speakers on their own? or could anyone recommend an Eminence thats similar? ( I believe they are made by E for DrZ)
Thanks
Hywel Harris

My volume is unaffected by the verb. I think it is v2 but I would like confirmation on that as well.

My EZG came with some GE 6L6's labeled by Groove Tubes. That's a pretty early one, maybe Doc used the Svetlana's early on, I really don't know. But if they sound good, I wouldn't worry. They are great tubes. I never ever had a reason to turn my reverb up all the way. It's so intense even at lower levels. If your not going to turn on ten to play....sounds like everything will be A-OK.

hi hywel, i am on my 3rd set of groove tube rated 6"s for my ezg50,, so, brent emailed me cause i wanted the bias point for new tubes (groove tubes now are hard to find and around 75 bucks a set) he said about 32 ma,,, i bought a bias probe from bob at eurotubes for about 25 bucks and it works great for all power tubes except maybe el84s... brent said they used SED winged c and that is what i will try next, the tubestore in memphis has b stock for 20 bucks a pair,, meaning they are good but have a cosmetic defect,,, hope it works out for you,, i love my ezg50,,
