Hi,
Newbie to this forum - can't believe I just found it. I bought an immaculate 6545 head about 6 months ago, and really love it... unfortunately, have hit some hard times with medical issues, etc. and need to let this one go. (Breaks my heart.) Just curious if anyone had any thoughts on approximate value before I try to put it on eBay, etc. It's hard to research as there do not seem to be many of these being sold...
I apologize if this question is inappropriate for this forum - but I am unable to see the "Buy/Sell" part of the forum - and need to move quickly with this.
Thanks, dave

well, its hard to say. in the last 6 months i've seen people asking anywhere from $1200 to $1600. and i've seen them sitting for a while w/o anyone buying them at those prices. so it may take some time to sell depending on your asking price.
good luck!

Thanks a bunch. That's what I suspected - but wasn't quite sure due to it being discontinued; and if that made it more desirable.

the guy who sold me mine charged $1500 about a year ago. Considering it's 2 Z amps in 1, it's out of production, fairly rare, the build quality, etc... I don't think a person should let go of a used one for any less.

I purchased an excellent condition 6545 for $1400 a couple of months ago. I did a slight bias adjustment and have been very happy gigging the bad boy.

Oh WHAT!!!! Dang it, now you have TWO very cool two channel Dr Z amps! I think I'd love a 6545. I've always thought the SRZ would be ultra cool but to get a KT45 as well. it would probably be my desert island gigging amp at a guess. Nice one Drew.

Hey Jaye, You're right, thanks. I'm a very fortunate dude. Two superb channel switching Z amps. Life is good. The 6545 is a great amp. Life is tough when you have to decide what amp goes to the gig... No one should have to suffer such dilemmas. Hope you're doing well.
I recently played a couple of outdoor gig that offered up backlines. I choose the marshall over a twin reverb. The marshall was a dsl 2000, I think, with a 4x12 cab. It was OK but the OD channel sounded like angry misquitoes so I stayed on the clean channel. The second gig I took the 6545 head and plugged into the 4x12. I didn't bring my airbrake because the MV in the 65 side is that good. OMG - the 6545 is one bad mofo!!!
