Just got #31 from Mass Street Music. It's freaking beautiful (maybe the last one availabe?!?!). Anyway, the family is home so i haven't been able to crank it but I've played a few minutes at low volumes and I'm getting pretty significant hum (certainly relative to other Zs I have). Is this normal? What kind of noise are you guys getting? thanks

This is the quietest amp that I have at the moment. On the other hand, I've taken all pedals out of the chain.
I still get a little hum with some of the single coils.

I'm not getting any hum at all out of mine, besides the single coil noise. If I pull the guitar cable out of the amp, and turn it up, you don't even know it's on!
I do run it through a Furman Power Factor Pro though.

I've seen a lot of hum questions. I own an SRZ65RH...all the answers are obvious...tubes, tighten bolts, etc, etc, yet I haven't yet found any one that has had their problem solved. This is definitely an internal issue. Mine is with the reverb curcuit...in fact, I unwired it just so I could use the amp. It wasn't always like this. Now when I turn the reverb knob on, a noticeable hum accompanies the reverb...louder and louder. Like I said...at one time, it was the most beautiful reverb I had ever heard on an amp...now...unusable, and I can't seem to find the issue. Even two amp techs gave up due to lack of support material like schematics or even pictures.
I wish the Dr. Z website would acknowledge this great amp on their site and provide some support material for those of us that still own one.

Email the repairs department and Don will help you get things back to right.

I also recommend contacting the Z Shop. I've been gigging a SRZ65RC converted to a head (SN 2007 which I picked up from Jaguarguy aka Mike) for the last year or so and have not noticed the reverb humming. I run the amp clean and loud with the reverb set at 8:30'ish maybe that's why it so quiet? I did have to replace a 12at7 tube that was intermittently crackling but that's the only noise so far. It's been a workhorse trouble free tuneful amp. Hope you get it figured out and get a change to play it out, a lot, cause this amp shines when it's moving some air.
