Is this to loud of an amp to use at home. If you use an airbrake will it breakup to much. Is their another DR Z amp that has this basic clean tone. That Fender ish Clean. Is the Z 28 Close.
Need some advise. This just seems like it would be over bearing at home. Would it be.
I want it for that clean clean sound. Or what else can I use. This would be a great Jr. AMP even without verb and Trem.

If you want "clean, clean", why use an Airbrake? The only reason you'd want one is to get some break-up at lower volumes.
The EZG sounds wonderful, full and beautiful at home volumes. My "home" rig is the EZ and 4x10.
It even sounds better, live.

The EZG works great at low volumes for clean tones. It really sounds good at any setting. It is great a bedroom level and will knock your socks off on stage. If you want it dirty at home you will probably need an airbrake.

Yep. Cleans at home, no problem. Power tubes giving up the goods at home- an attenuator will be needed.

The EZG is great at many different levels having the Pre and Post volumes at your disposal....you can bring up the Post and get the power amp working harder and provide more killer clean headroom. Keep the Post lower and work the Pre to get more hair if needed Never had the need for an attenuator. Enjoy

I just played an EZG-50. Z-28 sounds very different, imo, if you're still interested. The EZG stays clean at much higher volume and is voiced differently.
