Thanks bluzman! You're an absolute life saver! I need the KT for a gig on Friday. Better take a few spare tubes and fuses!

Two of the more fragile tubes around: EL34's and new production rectifiers. I'd definitely have a spare set of power tubes, a recto, some fuses and maybe a SS recto plugin just in case.

Hi Phil, I'll be gutted if it's the rectifier! Spent a lot of cash on a NOS Mullard. I've got the SS that came with the KT so I can swap it over to confirm. I'll have to get some spare EL34's.

My KT blew an EL-34 within one hour of use. I contacted GT directly, because as the tubes came in a new amp they were under warranty. GT got me a new one pretty quickly.

It seems it was just the fuse. Not sure why it blew but it's been ok since.
