Both amps are great. Depends on your personal needs, tastes, types guitars/pedals, etc. The Galaxie is a little more flexible, having two channels and full EQ w/ presence control. But then again, the Z-28 has a classic Fender sound, when cranked up. Depends on your needs, so a little more info might help us to guide you in the right direction or at least give you some feedback.

They both have their sound and either can do blues/rock but I'm not sure what hard rock means. Black Sabbath and Deep Purple probably, Metalica you'll need a pedal. I've heard the Z28 dimed can approach old marshall OD tones. The Galaxie's ch2 has loads of gain on tap. The Galaxie is tweed'ish sounding so it turns into a matter of preference.

Thanks. I bought galaxie, come next week. I use it with ocd fulltone, xc booster and fulltone wah deluxe. Now i have mesa boogie mark III, but it is too aggressive. I prefer to have 2 channels, because more versatile. Can i have a sound like ac-dc with this configuration? Should i take some pedals?
