I just got my Brakelite from a good friend, It really works well, however I have noticed it adds a bit of muddiness to my Sound which I dont care for at all but it does a great job cutting down volume and letting you push the amp harder. Is there anything you can do to get the bassy, muddiness to go away? My only complaint and that dude gets Hot!! WOW! I'm gonna keep a fan on mine from now on!

Try setting the brakelite to the volume you want first and then set the tone controls to get your sound. Some of the muddiness is because your ears hear frequencies differently at different volume levels so your normal settings are perceived differently by your ears and brain. The technical reasons have been covered on the forum but I can't explain them.

Thanks, I guess I never looked at it that way? DUH! Makes good sense, I haven't used it yet in a Live Gig situation yet? But its coming, That will be the true test. Merry Christmas everyone.
