I started this new thread taking inspiration from the last about midrange: As this is an only 3 knobs amp, controls are very active and can change EQ, compression, saturation and sustain dramatically. Everyone uses some kind of boost or OD pedal so settings on the amp must interact with those. I'm curious to know how you manage this combination on your amp.
Actually mine are (pushed with an RC for cleans, BB or FD2 or OCD for dist):
Treb 11 Bass 11 Vol 9 - 10

With my 1-12 I can push the amp a little harder so I don't need a boost. I run all knobs at 12 oclock which gives me a nice crunch and I just roll back for cleans. I use the FFD2 on compcut for leads. Sometimes I'll run the amp a little harder and set up the airbrake on one or two, but I generally run without the airbrake.
For my original band it's somewhere around 1 oclock all knobs with the Z-best or 3 oclock all knobs with the 1-12. No airbrake on either. The Zbest at those settings is still louder than my 1-12.
Of course some small venues I just can't get that kinda volume so I either run the airbrake, but usually I just run cleaner and use either the fatboot or more than usual, (cause I'm lazy) I just use the FF2 compcut first channel as a boost and 2nd for leads. Dr T, your settings are about how I run mine with Zbest for most of my cover gigs.

Volume 1:00 Bass 12:30 Treble 1:00
Ran it that way with a 212 (V30/G12H30) and after tweaking came back to the same settings for the Weber 112 (Silver Ceramic). Am running a Weber MiniMASS now - smaller venues.
Will say, I had the coolest tones blowing yesterday...haven't played thru the 66 in better than a year...was nice!! Killer Marshally rock tones w/a BB pre in there...also liked it with the Keeley Fuzz Head. Yummy stuff!

I usually stop at noon because when I change guitar and play the Tele she has more output and the amp goes into OD

I run the Volume at 1:00, the treble at 11:00 and the bass at 12:00 with my Rosewood/Alder Strat. I run the Maple/Swamp Ash Strat at 1:00 treble 10:00 bass at 1:00. From this point I can just back of the Volume for chords or hit a pedal to really go into OD. I used to play older Marshalls and Fender Bassmans but this 66 is really a keeper. This is my favorite setting but I usually have to kick the Volume back for smaller gigs.
