!! LOL !! I'm just gettin' the quivers Too much spending lately You'll move it soon I'm sure, did not mean to pressure you RC ! I heard that....still working on my "deal", too. Last night my wife asked had I sold the DSL 50 to pay for the 66. Little does she know, the DSL is staying for my son, so *I* can keep the 66 for myself! We all need to win the big LOTTO, make all this Z GAS shenanigans much more tolerable. Bill, +1 to help you make through your clandestine Z mission!

tele62, I'd be interested in your opinion/review of the KT-45 vs the Route 66. Well I just took a quick test drive last night and a/b'ed them with a Lester and Tele, tried both through a V-30, Weber alnico Blue, Jensen RI P-12-Q and a Texas Heat. My KT45 came with a rec tube instead of the SS plug, has #7 EL-34 LS power tubes and sounds GREAT. Very different then the 66, a lot more sizzle on the top end, the tone controls are more active IMO, not near the mids or bottom of the 66 and a lot more on top. A lot more grind than expected ( a nice surprise). Louder than the 66 no doubt, real quick attack, less compession. Probably better suited to my style than the 66, I'll gig it next w/e with both bands and know more but as of now it's a keeper. Sounded best with the Weber alnico Blue dog, but I love that speaker with any amp I've tried.

Glad to hear you're alive & well down in Carolina, rockstok...good you're getting a head start on impending Ernesto! Hope your mom gets through it okay. Keeping the fun theme alive in "Wayne's room", here's a shot back when I had my red Maz Jr 210. Some of you may know Mark Bjorke from the FDP...that's him in the green jacket on bass. A fine gentleman and player. At the time the camera clicked, we were all obviously looking for a mouse or something that was running around the room. And pay no attention to all the empty bottles in the foreground...don't have a CLUE how they got there!

Oh Man, If the room could talk - the tales that it woud tell! Rockstok and Madison PM sent. The v30 is an old workhorse w/many miles and sounds great but may not work out for Bill as it's not a new for new trade.

Bill (rockstok),
I think I've got a V30 thats in pretty good shape I took out of my Z-best... think it's 16 ohm? I'd rather have another spare G12-H30 myself.... what ohm is yours?? I'd be willing to trade, let me find my V-30 and see what shape it's in... i put it in the weber box after I traded it outta the Z-best...but I think it's like new.
jgleaton, Sorry I'm so late getting back to you. Been out of town and relegated to bad dial up. Thanks for the offer. My V30 is 8ohm and I want to be able to use it with another 8 ohm cab. I wonder how the impedence stack up with an 8 and a 16?
