That was a good demo. It is hard to find demos that really go through all of the controls like that.

That was a good demo. It is hard to find demos that really go through all of the controls like that. It's hard to find demos recorded with something other than an amateur camera microphone.

I'll tell you what I liked about it most: where it says straight in.
Admittedly I'm not much of a pedal guy, but how is it possible to discover anything about how an amp sounds if it's run through 4 different pedals?
I always get a kick out of clips that are supposed to extoll the virtues of a particular amp, then the fine print tells you that "it's straight in except for the following pedals..." It might sound great, but it sure ain't telling you much about the amp.

Note to the Doc:
Future Z amps should have boot-friendly knobs so you don't have to quit pickin' while tweakin'. ;D
Kind of reminds me of the Taylor guitar clips where Bob Taylor goes on & on about the texture of the control knobs.
Great demo though. GMD really does a nice job producing those videos. It must take hours.

I watch a lot of demos of this guy and he uses the MAZ a lot. Great clip.

Very nice clip. GMD's video reviews are generally very helpful and well done. This one on the MAZ 18 could serve as a template/standard. I hope GMD does a sequel with some other guitars.

that was a great demo for sure! Really shows off the amps versatility....one of these days I would like to try a bucker equipped guitar in mine to see what it sounds like. I like the straight in tone he's getting and I love the straight in tone of mine too, nuthing like just guitar, cable and amp

I've heard that the KT45 is the closest Z to a Hiwatt, but Rick REALLY nails Townshend's sound here with that Maz Jr!
Take it from me; I know what a Hiwatt sounds like. I toured with 4 of them.

"Rick REALLY nails Townshend's sound here" I'm Rick, the original poster, but not the guy in the video His name is not Rick, Nor is he Jack Black, as was once heavily rumored Me, I'm in a Black Coiley cable Currently without a Dr. Z Amplification Device Although he's leaning me toward the Maz 18 My heart wants a Stangray My Wallet wants a used Stangray See what happens......
