The amp came in today and a just finished going threw all the paces with it. It is a amazing amp. I hear so many vintage amps in this thing and I can truly say that this amp can really cover just about any genre you throw at it. I was suprised by a few things, - How good and much gain the amp has - How loud it is - How articulate the cleans are - How great tones can come at low volumes - Amazing reverb. - The ability to make your pedals perform Not anything to complain about so far, I will set this up in the studio as my blues/ rythem amp. The amp exceeded my expectations and as a 35 year player who demands the best in the studio this amp did not disappoint. I got it to give me a different attack on my clean tones and blues tones that my Marshalls did not give me, it fills that void wonderfully. I am glad my research paid off as this is just what the Doctor ordered. Here are some pics

Congrats Surf I am glad your reasearch paid off. The Z amps do have a different feel to them then the Marshalls do but it's a good thing. Nice looking amp... I am glad you like it I knew it was only a matter of time.

I agree with you!!! This amp is great sounding and built to tour!
I especially agree with you on how great the clean (and dirty, for that matter) sounds are, even at super quiet volumes. I was blown away with how many different tones you can get out of this amp at a variety of SPL's.
But I wanted to mention- one thing I have noticed is that I actually don't find it to be that loud for a 50 watt amp. When I compare it to other 50 watt amps (such as a Marshall JMP or a Hiwatt DR 103) the percieved volume is significantly lower out of the EZG-50. However, it is still a "loud" amp by any measure and provides more than enough power for any gig.

Sorry to keep comparing the percieved volume of the EZG, I was just sort of taken aback by the fact that it didn't tear my head off! A pleasant surprise, really.

Hmmm, I have it connected to a Marshall 1960 loaded with four Alnico Gold speakers. Each is rated for 50 watts but I can tell you to me it was very respectable when dimed.
There is a lot of gain on tap when and (if) you can get the tubes cooking. I use a Homebrew Power Screamer and the tone with that engaged at any volume delivers something that very good with a little reverb into it. I just add some tape echo and instant satisfaction.
I just think based on my research that led me to make the purchase I believe the amp is very underrated. It could be the perfect all around amp.

I have a had some more time to play on this amp and yes, it is one hell of an all-around amp. As of late October, I am still using it in conjuction with a Marshall or Hiwatt-type of amp though. I gotta have both sounds I guess.

I have a Voodoo Labs Amp Switcher and today I was running the EZG with a Marshall Vintage Modern in stereo and man oh man, those two together with the different cabinets was the Hammer of the Gods tone. (using a CS Les Paul)
The Marshall in high range gets a lot of gain when the KT66s start to cook and the EZG sort of cleans up any mud and adds a nice touch of verb. Now I have to mic them both up get them in phase and see if I can reproduce the tone by recording each amp on a seprate track.
