Have many (any) of you guys played the Galaxie as well? I haven't, and am curious about how the cleans compare.
Thanks, Jordan

I own both and would say the Galaxie has much less headroom than the EZG-50. The cleans on the Galaxie (ch 1) are a bit more percussive and they are more mellow on the high end. The Galaxie breaks up pretty nicely around 12 o'clock also.
The EZG-50 can be very clean, even at high volumes. Also, what I am noticing after more playing time on it is that it can provide clean tones that sustain for days. Almost like a compressor was on the amp, but without any of the related artifacts (such as pumping, a loss of dynamics, etc). Right now I am toying around with using them both at the same time- it is pretty righteous!
Oh yeah- the type of speaker and cabinet will obviously affect the tone too, and your clean sounds will be slightly different through a Z-Best 2x12 than say a 4x10 or a 4x12.

Thanks, it is pretty amazing! However, I am probably going to be using the EZG-50 and my Germino 45 for a two amp setup for most larger shows and my Galaxie and Zinky for smaller gigs.
