We decided to do a stripped down, more intimate acoustic set for our college service last night. Normally, when we do that, I'll play acoustic or slide over to keys, but I've really been wanting to play the Mini Z out so I decided to give it a try. It was perfect! I played my 335 through my M13 and just did a lot of ethereal pad stuff. I LOVE the sustain I can get on this thing. Of course, to get the clean tone I needed, I had the amps volume at about 8 o'clock and my guitar's volume at 1...at 5 watts, it's still pretty dang loud. I got a lot of compliments on my tone...which hopefully wasn't the main focus. I hope we start doing this on a regular basis though...it was a lot of fun!

Have you ever tried it in a rock band setting?

Never with a band, but I've jammed a few rock tunes on it and it hold it's own pretty well. Lacks the low end tightness I'm used to with my Maz 2x12, but it does weigh about 80 pounds less! I've been meaning to try running the mini chassis through my 2x12s and see what happens. I'm kind of afraid that it's awesomeness will tear a hole in the space time continuum and destroy us all though...so we'll see.

Cool let us know how you get on. I too have a Maz 38 2x12 and it weighs a ton. I love the simplisity of the mini and wonder if it would cut it in a band situation. Must try it out sometime. Our drummer is loud though

I've run my combo through my 2X12 and my 1X12. I wish it was 18 watts and I would almost have a Monza! Sounds killer all cranked up.

Just picked up a combo and love it thus far, but I want to hear the head perform too! Everything on the forum suggests it's awesome... TPM

My tech got one when I was on the Earle tour. He quickly stashed it so I couldn't get a hold of it but we did plug it into my 2 x 12 cab once first and it sounded phenomenal. If I ever go out on a tour that is using in ears again I'm gettin' one.
