Is that the general consensus? I'm about to order an AC30H2 combo to run in parallel with my incoming Mazerati GT and, well, I was hoping I could find an attenuator for it. I don't live in an apartment, I'm renting out the basement of a friend. But, he work from 5 AM to 5PM so he doesn't really care for me banging around when he's trying to sleep. For a general idea of what "quiet enough" is for me, I have my Mini-Mass usually set around 1.5 and that's as high as I can go before he bashes my brains in for being obnoxiously bad at guitar.
And the Heritage AC30 has no master volume, which I find pointless for modern AC30's, honestly. I get it with Dr. Z, but not so much with modern Vox. Especially since the Valvetech Hayseed 30 can effectively pull off a bypassing master volume. I would get one of those, mind you, but the wait time is a bit too much, and I'm getting a great deal on the Heritage.

The Air Brake cuts more decibles than the BrakeLite, but I don't remember the exact numbers. A previous post discusses those #'s. I have both, and can say although they work, they are made for the stage, not cranking an amp at home. AB on bedroom setting does cut down the volume, but the change in tone is not desirable for lots of ears. I find a 3-5 watt amp, even with the brake lite, is more appropriate for a bedroom/home. I can crank up that little amp, BL on 4, and not wake people in the same house. No way can I do this with my Mazerati, 35 watt Vox AC30 type amp.
