My EZG looses power for no apparent reason. I'll be playing along and all of a sudden the power goes off. I unplug from the back of the amp after turning the power and standby switches to off and wait 20-30 seconds; plug it back in and no problem. If I just wiggle the cord or turn the switches off and unplug/plug immediately, no dice -- it only powers back up when I turn it off and leave it unplug for a little while.
Adivce is welcome.

Do you know of a competent amp tech that is in your area? That is what I do. There is no technology inside of these amps that hasn't been around for at least 75 years. Most amp techs can pinpoint and solve a problem like this very quickly. PLUS, you don't have to ship it in for repair.
I had a Bad Cat that would make this terrible humming noise once in a while for no reason. Turns out a screw came loose and was rolling up against one of the lugs on one of the tube sockets and causing the problem. The amp tech I go to didn't even charge me....just smiled and showed me what was wrong.
