I use a Z 2 x 10" cab loaded with Z's 10" speaks with my RX ES. Personally, I love the Z 210. It may not fully realize the low end capabilites of the RXES, but its a great way to get the coupling sound of two speakers going without the heft and size of a 2x12. Once Z's speakers break in, they are one of the best kept secrets out there, IMO. I also use a Bogner Cube as well w/ my RXES. On the RXES, the 210 serves up a nice combination of broken-in Jensen P10 and Celestion Blues tone. Mics nicely as well. Playing by itself, it may sound a little weak in the bass, but in a band context (where it matters), its fantastic, on and off axis. I also like how it mixes well when you are playing with another guitar player. Since almost everybody uses 112's or 212's, the 210 gives enough of a unique voice, that it sets you apart. AND I love that its SO portable! I've always loved tens, ever since my old Super Reverb, so I may be partial!

Thanks for the info Chris, I have never used 10's in any amps. But i'm begining to think it may be just what the Doctor ordered! Does anyone know if you can get a rxes in a 2x10 combo? I have heard that Z's 4x10 and 2x10 cabs are airy and tight at the same time. This is what I have always wanted, a tone that will fill the room with sound when playing clean arpeggiated chords, then stay tight and properly track quick fusiony alternate picked runs. I guess I just want my guitar to have similar dynamic response that a drum set has, a punchy attack that quickly blooms into a big room filling tone. Practicing more would help me on my tone quest as well.....

I don't see why Z couldn't do an RX ES as a 210 combo, since I've seen MAZ 38 210 combos. You just might have to ask for pricing from Z.
Happy New Year Sam!

Chris, did you ever get to try the Z 2-10 cab with the 66? I'm a bit infatuated with that cab at the moment and might be a good choice for smaller venues. Thanks mate.
