Since you have owned three 66's ( as per your posts on the gear page) Corybox.
Yeah I would check out the Remedy closer in tone to your requested examples.

My good friend Brandon at Willcutt Guitars in Lexington, KY recommended the Remedy for my tastes; I am also a huge fan of Free, Zep, Cream, Black Crowes, and Les Paul/Marshall tones in general.

I'd say the 66 covers early Zep and the Remedy covers later Zep stuff. I have both and they cover an enormous range.

Remedy has no ghost tones too. ! I heard some RT 66 and Blues Breaker folks say the tubes in both amps give off shadow or ghost tones. I love the Remedy. ;D

i thought i remember the ghost note thing coming up before and only the earlier Route 66's had it. and for some reason i think it was said the transformer causes it, but i am not sure on that.
anyways, ghost notes are cool IMO

The early Route 66's do have 'em and I think they sound great. Listen to the Free Song "Fire and Water"; my 66 screams just like that. It does some great Peter Green too. They're caused by an intentional, slight "underfiltering" in the power supply.

Remedy has a 40/20 watt switch I love and use it only (so far) on 20 watts with a break-lite on one click from (0) Zero. One thing to Remember They are all Dr Z amps and they all sound Great for one thing or another. Yea He's a Dr !

So does anyone have any new experience between these two amps? I got a 66 and am really enjoying it... but still wonder about the remedy You know my motto: Collect 'em all...

Today I played the Remedy through the Z-Best, and had one of the best sessions I've had in ages. Ever feel lucky, or grateful perhaps, to be able to make music? The whole rig just sang.
Anyway, I've been thinking about a 66 again. I bought a used one a while back, after going back and forth about whether to pick up the 66 or the SRZ. I had wanted to try out other stuff, and ended up selling the 66, and then had a Galaxie for a while.
I'd like a 66 again, primarily because out of all the amps clean tones, I liked the Rte 66's cleans the best of all. There was a swell and a complexity that I've been missing since I sold it. There is an authority, or growl, that the 66 seems to have uniquely, as well.
My first reaction to the Remedy was that it reminded me of the 66, but at this point for me the Remedy stands on its own merits for its own tones. I'm a big fan of Black Crowes, and that's in there and more.

For my RT66 everything at 3 O'Clock. That setting with my 57 RI Gold Top gives me very crowes like tones. Add a good fuzz and a Strat and you can get really good Marc Ford like tones!
