Deluxe Reverb RI, Dr. Z Z-28 and a Silverface Twin Reverb...
I'm being serious here, please read on...
My Carmen Ghia covers my needs completely on that end of the scale, but I still need a good Fender-ish clean sound with reverb at different volume levels from moderate to high. If I could handle the Twin's weight routinely it would do it for me, but I can't; therefore the Z-28 and DRRI. The proceeds from selling these three would cover the EZG-50 and then some.
Keep in mind I have a good selection of cabs, most of which would work with the EZG. And if it really only weighs 40 lbs. I could actually carry the thing.
Thoughts and opinions appreciated.

IMO it will cover the Fender spectrum easily. The Z28 is a great amp...you can get somewhat close (but not exact) tonal offerings from the EZG. However, the Z28 sure does break up quicker and has that sonic goodness that 6v6's bring. Good Luck!

If clean is what you want, then you'll get plenty and then some. To me the EZG doesn't have the characteristics of the blackface, maybe I'm use to hearing something else. It's a clean machine like a twin but without the brittleness of the Twin. Very clean with tons of power and plenty of bottom.

You are going to get different tones from the EZG than what the Z-28 will offer. The EZG will do a nice job covereing all of the tones generated by the Deluxe Reverb and the Twin. If you were going to sell amps to get the EZG I'd start with the fenders. If you can keep the Z28 and still get the EZG then you will be best off. The Ghia, z28 and EZG should cover you for all wattages. Hope that helps.
