I've been looking for a good recording amp for a while now. Tried everything I could get my hands on in the greater Boston area.
Bad CatMini Cat, SF Princetons, Cyber-this, & 'Tronix-that. Nothin'. I contemplated ordering a Tweed Champ kit, but as my soldering skills are atrocious, & I can't read a schematic, well, common sense prevailed. :-)
I even made the hour + pilgrammage to the "local" Z dealer (Boston Guitar Works), but their selection of Z's included neither a Mini nor a Carmen Ghia. :-(
Now, normally I don't like to buy anything I can't try before-hand, but you guys have been sooooo enthusiastic, & the audio & video clips are soooo good (doesn't hurt it's BW doing the playing), that I took the plunge. Heck, I'd never tried a Keeley-modded pedal before I bought one, but *that* worked out pretty well...
So, it shipped out from MusicToyz today, should see it before the weekend. Fingers crossed...

Congrats Detuned, hope it's what you were looking for. A very serious LA Fusion player may be having a fang on mine today...but more on that later. I love the mini and find it very useful...hope you do too.

D'Oh!
If I had known, I'd have given you a ping...
Amp should be delivered today, according to USPS - that was fast!
Can't wait to get home (make dinner, play with kids, put them to bed, clean up, etc.) & play my new Z!
