I went to a recording studio with Buddy yesterday,he was doing some clips with the Mini-Z. I gotta tell ya that's one COOL amp!! He played several guitars through it 335,a Les Paul TV ,& his new Lentz. So I got to here it with "Buckers",a P-90, & "Tele" style single coils. It sounds great with all 3 types of pups! I even got to try it with my Lentz "S"...It's a rockin' little puppy! Don't sound like no 5w amp to me! Can't believe it's just an 8" speaker I gonna have to put one on my wish list ;D
oh yeah and those samples of the mini Z sound awesome. Sounds like a great backup amp just in case tubes in my main rig blow. Throw a sm58 on that and go to the races on any stage!
Howdy boys, figgered I'd get the jump on ol' Zane ;^) (Hi Dave!) If y'all can get past my intense beauty, you can experience firsthand the ambient room reverb of the Arlington Guitar Show with this little clip..special thanks to our pal Ian Anderson (no, not THAT one...) of Scott Lentz Guitars for manning the expensive video/recording equipment...

Hey Buddy, thanks for stopping in...and the video too. Look forward to your show in C- town on Nov 8!
Madison I saw the show in Dallas ...MTY cool...I think you'll dig it ...Eric Bibb is cool ...I'd never seen him or Robben (very cool) before.... then Mayall & the BB's were great too! Good show all the way around .
Hey Buddy, hate to be the bearer of bad news but Zane did get the jump on you and put the link in the "Sounds" section a while ago. I've already watched it about 12 times, awesome... I get my mini this week Thanks for the inspiration!
ARGGHH! He's done it again! Ya gotta get up pretty early in the morning (or stay up REALLY late, can't figger out exactly WHAT it is he does) to get ahead of "The Mark of "ZANE-O"(insert 'swashbuckling' sound effect here..) Tas, open that box, put a mic on that thang and go play Woodstock ASAP...
purty cool ...postin' in the "mini-Z" thread ...and yours comes ....gotta be "fate"... still can't believe that little 5w amp can "put out" such a "big" tone... "good times ;^) "
and yes it is early...or...is it late...heck I dont even know anymore...
Man! My mini comes and I get one of the best pieces of advice from one of the best players I've ever heard! Does it get any better than this??? Where's my lotto ticket. My mini got bashed up a little in transit so I took it to get checked out first. First impression is wow! Kickin'. Is very bright though where I have my bridge pickup. Would have to lower it before recording it I would think. Out of interest I plugged it into the Z-Best. Oh MY God. Rock sound of DOOM. Too cool. I'm almost tempted to try a gig with it. I know it defeats the purpose of the mini to lug the Z Best along with it but there is a "turn it down " venue I'm always playing so might have to try it out. Have to hear it miked through the PA too. That brightness may sit nicely with a band, I'm not sure. Haven't tried it with lowered bridge pickup yet (my neck pickup is always low) but that should eliminate the over-bright aspect for me. TOOOOO COOOLLLLL Thanks Zane and BW for the clips. I'll have to do one for my site when it gets updated from being 100 years out of date!!!

GuitarZ: Carrying batteries for backup in the gig bag is great until you realize you can't free one of those little CR2032 buggers without a pair of scissors. And, that's after you free it from the outer packaging.
