I'm looking for a cheap el84 30 watt backup amp , I have a maz 1x12 combo. Could anyone give a comparison of the crate v3112 , to the maz? Again this is for backup , side job's , ect.
It's not the palomino , but the black one with the 12 inch tone tubby.
Thank's Jake.

You might want to move this to the Maz Jr section. You'll probably get more input there. Good luck! Paul

I don't own a maz but I do own the Crate v3112...it is an excellent amp my favorite feature is that it has a foot switchable boost which is perfect for boosting solos. The clean channel is near Fender quality and the Overdrive channel will cover your marshall classic rock tones and everything in between...you have to hear it to believe it...I have mine for sale here in this forum the ONLY reason I am selling is because I love this amp so much I purchased the head version of it so I no longer need my combo. Its in great shape I loaded it with a Celestion vintage 30 and still under transferable warranty...pm me if you are interested.

I aprrediate the comeback , and i thank you for the offer on your amp. I'm still thinking on the matter though , I bought the v16 , and did'nt have good luck , great little amp , but could'nt take pedals very well at all , I blame myself I've never used anything under 30 watts before , and i run a dual drive pedal setup.
With that in mind can i ask if your crate 30 watt takes pedal's without choking or laying down?
thank's jake.

I'm not much of a pedal user...I somtimes use a tubescreamer in front and it takes it no problemo...
