I have a Mazerati and a 212 ZBest with P12Z's (30 watt Silver Bells). I love the amp but there is not a lot of midrange in the tone but tns of treble and bass. What can I do. I was thinkingof switching one of the Silver Bells for a G12H30 or something like that. I've had a Vintage 30 in the cab with the Silver Bell, but it was too bright. I do like how compressed the Silver Bells are. I'd just like more midrange. What do you think?

any pedals in front usually will help , Zendrive ,tube screamer. also I get some good mids with the Tonker, plus this amp likes to be cranked

Maybe you need a Weber Blue in with the mix. I've got a 2x12 cab with two weber alnico blues that I run with my Mazerati and they seem to have plenty of mids. I'm thinking that is why the blue/silver combo is so popular. One to cover each of the sonic spectrums. Are your Silver's the Alnico's?

I think Demeter has some kind of mid-boost pedal that I've seen on some guy's boards. I've heard some good things about it.

I ended up switching the 5751 preamp tube in P1 for a 12AX7. That helped it sound more "focused" like conventional amps...only better.
