Well I've had my 1x12" combo for about 3 weeks now... it's been through about a dozen gigs, and I've spent a lot of time experimenting with different speakers, tubes, guitars, cables, pedals, etc... Just wanted to say what a killer amp this is - thanks Doc!
At first it seemed a bit heavy in the midrange to me, but as soon as I popped in a G12H and started using an amp stand instead of the floor (which also allowed me to crank the tone knob up to 12:00-1:00 and sometimes beyond) - all of a sudden it turned into THE sound I've been searching for.
It's amazing how well the Mazerati responds to changes in speakers and tubes.. you can tailor the "color" to just about whatever hue you want, but the great feel and dynamics are right there all along. The volume and breakup is just about perfect for what I do.. I've never been so happy with my "straight it" strat sound, this is exactly what I wanted.
I find that my humbucker guitars are starting to collect dust, and I'm just fine with that for now. I'm able to go from a straight-ahead jazz rehearsal directly to a LOUD blues/rock jam with the same amp, same guitar... all I need to change is my pick (and crank up the volume a bit)! I'm sold.
Now I'm thinking of picking up either a Z-28 or Carmen Ghia for use in a stereo rig... decisions, decisions. ;D

It is a great amp! I have yet to change the speaker from a V30. I will soon, and it will only get better. I am planning on trying some mismatched el84's at some point as well. It is incredibly versatile.

I just put a Weber beam blocker in the combo today.. had it almost wide open at a blues jam a few hours later. Every time I think it can't possibly get any better.. it does.
Amazing. Best strat amp I've ever played, period.
