I've been eye-ing up a blonde EZG-50 at the local music store. All my Z cabs are Blond w/ black grill. My OCD can't handle having the checker grill on the amp mismatch my cab Looks like a real easy install, not like redoing a speaker cab. Question is, can I just buy a piece of grill cloth direct to switch it? If not, anyone know where to get the closest match? Thanks

I'm kind of in the same boat. WHEN I get my EZG, I'd like to replace the front panel with an all-wheat grill (no oval cut out panel) if that's possible. Not that I think it's a bad design or anything, but I'd like it to match my rati. I wonder if that's possible...

In most cases, it is as easy as matching the cloth and installing... they key is to know how to stretch it evenly and having a relly good stapler. Fact is grill cloth installation isn't always as easy as you think. There is some know-how and skill involved with keeping it lined up right and proper tension.

If any forum member is looking for some DR Z salt and pepper grill cloth. I have a piece off a 2X10 convertible (I changed it out to the tan) for free. Maybe a couple O bucks for shipping. Easily enough to do a couple O grills on any Z heads!
PM me if your interested.
